Up early today , although appointment not till a lot later , hospital visits still make us both anxious, so used to getting bad news from the beginning of this terrible diagnosis. Realistically of course, since learning it was the epitheliod type, news has been about as good as possible, so let’s hope it continues today.
No comments on the food debate but he did make us a big plate of gluten free pasta last night ( actually nicer than the usual kind- totally different to the bread) , good news it didn’t bloat up his stomach, so fingers crossed .
Went to visit his grown up daughter in the afternoon as she has just moved house, they don’t know about his illness so was first big test, luckily the breathlessness got easier during the day( wonder if connected with the really hot weather) he doesn’t look too bad at the moment, his face has got a suntan which helps, although his hair is now completely White , as he has cut it much shorter than before it doesn’t look thin. A family party due in a weeks time for his dad’s birthday , when the White hair will get a lot of comments from his younger brothers, have to see how that goes.

quick update and continuing good news, at the moment no more treatment , as nothing there to treat. No signs of active Mr Nasty, as Mavis would say. In the words of the surgeon, see you in six months now just “live” .
Explanations for the pains linked to surgery, separating ribs etc. Has suggested some other painkillers that may help , so we will check this one out.
Out to dinner tonight to celebrate , great meal, so here is too many more. Early start tomorrow as have to get a tooth rebuilt plus chase up insurers for repair estimates
