Having had a pretty good week overall, today has been a bit tricky. Ray has felt really weak and totally exhausted all day, it was an effort not to stay in bed. The last time he started feeling this tired was when in retrospect he as starting to go down with pneumonia. So we are really hoping he hasn’t picked anything up. When we out on Thursday a guy sitting near us had a terrible hacking cough, so lets hope he wasn’t contagious.
The other worry is how heavily he is breathing, I can really hear him struggling for air. This has happened before but immediately it makes both our minds race ahead to all sorts of worries. He isn’t coughing but the heavy breathing sounds very laboured.
Here’s hoping he picks up tomorrow, I am due back at work tomorrow but hate leaving when he is like this. The last time I was out for the day when he was like this was the day after the flu jab, when he was bedridden all day. Still remember how horrible it was to come home to everything in darkness and the panic when I realised he was virtually unconscious upstairs.
Will see how he gets on tomorrow, if no improvement by lunch will just come home early , as sure I’m not indispensable.
