My partner was diagnosed with mesothelioma in October 2010, he is only in his forties and up until 2 months ago , appeared to be in good health, so we are just coming to terms with the shock of the diagnosis. He is currently in hospital having just had a pleurodesis for the second time.
Never before has the phrase a day at a time been more meaningful, and I know you should give thanks for what may be , not for what is past, but sometimes hope can seem a season too far .
When everyone who knows best gives up – now may be the best time to know less.
Thank you for sharing your story my husband was diagnosed in march 2012 & sharing treatments & experiences does help , as you said the initial shock at diagnosis is unbelievable but you really do believe in a day at a time x
Definitely one day at a time- would be good if they were a bit sunnier though.
